There are times when you desperately need someone to talk to or you crave for someone's company or want to hear some soothing words from somebody close...but...what you get, is...either...people are not responding to your calls or they do respond but state their "busy-ness" or they respond, state their "busy-ness" and say something which makes you feel worthless as you do not have anything else to do at that time but to call them and kill their "valuable" time... :-D...
So its clear...it makes you feel worse than ever---and you think "what heartless people I have in my life"!!!
But...but...just imagine this situation in the opposite way around...you are stuck in some tacky official work...feeling very much frustrated because its not going on the way you would want it to...and you can't ignore it because it is so important for your promotion and at that time, your wife calls up..."hey hon! How is your day going? Hey can you come home early tonight! I very much need your company..."...now...What will be your response? Well well...I know you will say..."Of course I will be with her".."She is my life"...etcetera...but be HONEST with yourself...won't you feel like.."Doesn't she understand how important my job is?" or might say..."Sorry dear...you know how difficult and important my job is, I don't get light works as you do"...
We do this to people closest to us. Parents, Spouses, close friends and even children...but we forget one tiny thing...Its just that...we are so much lucky to be someone of that much importance to someone's life...
We all do this mistake knowingly or unknowingly...after all, we are just human beings...but I think its very very important to show a little empathy to that person who is in need for that...
Show care...be happy... :-)

Hi Sangita, I don't know u, bt frm fb I got in touch with ur blog.
I really liked this post. Kudos to your mature thoughts. And since I am staying away from my dear ones presently, ur words touched much more. Actually I could realise truly. May be I have done the same with my Maa when she calls me all of a sudden (my busy working hours) to share some of her feelings with me. May be I have reacted a bit rudely with her.
